Thanks to the NBA’s 2010 Slamdunk “contest”, I think I understand the purpose of the FAIL comments I see so often. Adding epic is redundant with it already in all caps.
Back to hoops, teaching the meaning of FAIL is not exactly the goal of the NBA All Star weekend. Despite the huge amount of hype the league and its healthy food sponsors, Sprite, provided, this is easily the worst dunk contest in history.
Thanks to the Russian pro league, which clearly understands what a dunk contest should be about, we have real slams and jams to enjoy:
As you can see, the Russian contest even had more and better replays and the court looked far more impressive.
If you’re still wondering how all this relates to being dumb, the NBA turned one of its premier events into a third world event, ranking below even high-school contests. To spell it out for the idiots in charge, if more impressive, enthusiastic, and creative athleticism is available much cheaper elsewhere, why bother with the NBA at all? (Besides the remote possibility that one day a team will have orgy nights.)

This is the official source of the DumbBall network that covers the stupidity of sports and athletes, inaugurated during the dumbest sports event in history, Super Bowl Sunday 2010.

The Super Bowl sets a new standard in dumb every year, only surpassed by the retards who bother to watch or bet on the game. In an attempt to focus on something positive and smart, here’s an article about a rare species, a mutant football player on the New Orleans Saints with a functional brain.
